My name is Robbie Weiland, and I’m 16 years old. It all started when I was 14 in 8th grade, when I built my very first cutting board. I learned how to make it in my woods and metals class at Thunder Bay Junior High, and that’s when I realized how much I truly loved woodworking. My grandparents gave me space in their garage to set up a small workshop, and from there, I just kept building. What started as a simple hobby quickly grew into something much bigger than I ever expected.
Over the past couple of years, that small project has turned into a real business, and today Leer Homestead is growing and thriving. I create handmade cutting boards and charcuterie boards, each one custom-designed with care and attention to detail. I love knowing that something I made is becoming part of someone’s home.
Our motto is:
“Not just wood and tools, every board is time, effort, and heart turned into something lasting.”
— Leer Homestead
Leer Homestead is officially an LLC and a fully functioning business. What started as a passion has grown into something real through hard work, dedication, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship. I’m proud of how far it’s come and excited to keep building and growing in the future.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way. It truly means a lot. If you’re looking for a custom handmade cutting board or charcuterie board, I’d love for you to check out my work!
